General Fishing Tips / Re: Jackson Big Rig FD?
« on: December 05, 2019, 08:49:20 PM »
I have owned a Cobra FD and a Malibu X Factor...both really stable platforms. But this Big Rig is in a league of its own. Has a molded in transtucer spot with a scupper to make install simple. Can also house the large Lowrance triple shot transducer. Pretty pleased with the boat. I'm also a bigger guy. 6'4 300 pounds.

Had it out twice now. Really like it. Plan on fishing  both fresh and saltwater. Seems to have enough storage.

I think that scampi is rigged just right. I've caught plenty of fish with them "upside down".;)

"but I do not know anyone who was murdered for lack of a gun."

Caleb, come to where I work and I can show you hundreds of people who are in prison because their victims DIDN'T have a gun.

The Slammin Salmon was a bust this year, the numbers were very low. Launch from the boat ramp and exit north. Great fishing can be had within 15 minutes of the launch.

Wilderness, an 8 oz. jig head costs anywhere from $4-$6 each. If you leave 8 on the ocean floor, there's the price of your mold. I can pour 8 oz. jigs for $1.05 each. But then again I only pour a few different molds for the ocean. E Bay has a good selection usually.
