« on: April 13, 2020, 07:20:33 PM »
Selling my kokatat dry suit. Suit is only 5-6 month old and well taken care of. Suit is a size large. Always washed and hung up to dry after every trip. Maybe seen the water only a few times. All seals are in excellent condition. Also has relief zipper. Reason for selling is because I have waders and wet suit and this one doesn’t seem to be used much so it’s up for grabs. Bought it brand new. Asking $500 obo. New one goes for close to 600 after tax. Pm me for more info or if interested. Thank you and tight lines.

I’m looking to rent someone’s perception pilot 12 for a day or 2. No one really has one of this on demo so I’m sorting to my fellow NCKA brothers and sisters. Dad wants to join me on the water in his own yak and he has his eye on the perception pilot 12. Thank you all in advance and looking forward from hearing from my NCKA family.

It’s was blowing hard everywhere including the local ponds. I figure I’ll at least some some play time at shadow cliff so off I went. Otw by 10:45 and off by 12:50. Got bag limit with 1.5 hrs. 7lbs at the biggest and the other 4 came in at 2lbs each.Still had a few minutes to play so I kept trolling around and back to the ramp. Released another 4 with 15 minutes. The high winds had them stacked up around 30-40 down and they were hungry and chomping since no one was out there. Got rained on, got blown dry by the high winds but all in all, it’s was a great day.

General Talk / Hobie Sidekick AMA kit
« on: November 21, 2018, 08:16:28 AM »
Hi to all NCKA members. Newbie here with a hobie sidekick ama question for all the pro's out there. I recently got into the kayak fishing scene but I've been fishing all my life. Recently I purchased an older style Hobie Outback(2006) due to me "ballin on a budget". I've gone ahead and did the seat conversion that people are talking about and it is so much better on the back while fishing. Thing is, I haven't taken it out into more serious waters until this past Sunday(11/18/18). I felt that the "reel tight"(my kayak) is a bit "tippy". I've only taken it out once with the original seat just to see if the thing floats and right after that I did the conversion. Does anyone out there know if the seat conversion will alter the Hobie outback stability? Did anyone do the seat conversion and have a different outcome of mine? or should I go with the Hobie Sidekick AMA kit and call it good? Does anyone out there have a sidekick installed on their kayak and can give me some pointers/ intake on them? I cant find anything much about them online. Thank you all in advance for your time and advice. Good luck, be safe out there and tight lines.

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Delta Sturgeon Attempt
« on: November 20, 2018, 09:06:15 AM »
I had heard the sturgeon bite was hot in the Delta/ Pittsburgh area. I had to get out there and see it for myself. I had invited a couple of my boating buddies to come and join me this past Sunday because boy I'll tell you, those strong current in my Hobie Outback was like a roller coaster ride.  :smt044 The weather was just right, slight breeze with no chops. It was a beautiful day! 4 guys, a boat and a half later or should I say, a boat and a quarter later, we went home before 10 a.m(launched at 7) with limits of dino's and 3 striper. I was glad I had made the decision to get out there in my Hobie Outback, "Reel Tight". Good luck to all out there and be safe, tight lines!!!
