For Sale / Jackson Cuda 12 for sale $850
« on: August 09, 2018, 06:08:39 PM »
Jackson Cuda 12’ 2014 or 2015, can’t remeber but the hull number should reveal the year. Lowrance fish finder, drift shoot on an anchor trolley, well kept and used one season. The bottom is in almost like new condition. More photos of you need them.

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / First Ocean Trip
« on: May 20, 2015, 06:38:21 PM »
After much research, reading, purchasing and rigging, I made it into the Ocean today for my maiden voyage.  Went with the two guys that sparked my interest in Kayak Fishing.  As luck would have it, I caught the first fish of the day.  We took off from the private campground at Timber Cove.  Caught three Rock Fish on my first trip into the ocean and saw what looked like a 25-35foot whale, possibly a humpback, not sure.  What a great day!!!!

General Talk / Is there a sticker or fuzzy hat?
« on: May 12, 2015, 06:45:02 PM »
Being new to NCKA and reading some threads I began to wonder, "How do I tell if someone is a NCKA member.  Is there a sticker for my Yak? The fuzzy hat was a joke, I thought I'd throw it out there to proactively avoid it being the "Answer".  I am pretty it just comes up in conversation but thought I would ask.

PS, I got involved too late to make time for GS9, but there is always GS 10.  Plus I am going to Shelter Cove at the end of May and didn't know it.  :smt002

Introductions / Noobie intro Howdy All
« on: May 11, 2015, 08:17:27 AM »
Hello everyone, my name is Augie, same as my screen name.  Well that is what all my friends me, my legal name is Mike. i am new to Kayak fishing.  I have fished many times before but not a level that I would call it a hobby, (more like once or twice a year kinda like golf- as long as beer is involved). I have also Kayak'd a little bit but just enough to know how to handle it. My buddy just retired and he got a Kayak -- that was inspiration for me to get involved.

My starter kit includes a 2015 Jackson Cuda 12- Dorado (name of the color).
Bending Branches Classic Angler paddle.  Scored a Fishing style PDF, 1.5 mm pants and some boots. Added a 6' pole and a new spinning reel (trying the KastKing Sharkie 6000 from Amazon to start).

Headed out fishing later this week.  Don't know where.  I am tagging along with my buddy and his friend, both experienced enough to show me the ropes.

I have lots of questions but first I have some reading here to do.

Thanks to Craig I met at Clavey on Saturday while picking up my Yak for guiding me to this site.

Augie-
