Lucky me! I've had some fine brews in Portland (yumm cascade brewing 🤤). I like just all beer styles. Wouldn't turn my nose up at a Ranier or pbr either.

I'm actually camping / crabbing at Doran beach tomorrow through Friday afternoon! Thursday works if you want to meet there? Otherwise you can swing by my place in SR today or Friday evening / this weekend. Burbank garden neighborhood

I believe I sent a private message. You can also message me through my craigslist ad as an alternative. Also there's more pictures here: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/bpo/d/santa-rosa-trolling-motor-30lb-thrust/7735962167.html

Sounds like a deal to me! I'm glad you have a use for the motor. I'll send a DM so we can get 'er done

4
I have this trolling motor if anyone wants it. I've never used it but it works.

$20 obo. Willing to trade for a ten dollar bill, a fancy beer, fishing tips, a fishing kayak, etc.

Here are the steps if anyone's interested:

1. Download google earth pro (its free) on your pc / mac
2. Save an image to overlay on the map. I googled something like "bodega bay depth map" and took a screen shot of one of the results
2: Add an image overlay to google earth as outlined here:
3. Download the google earth app on your mobile device
4. Send the overlay file to save and open on your mobile device as outlined here (Source: https://support.google.com/earth/thread/32919258/how-to-view-image-overlay-on-mobile-app?hl=en):

"Make your overlay in Google Earth Pro.  Make sure you have the file checked so it's visible.  Right click on the file in My Places and select 'Save Place As...'.  Save a .kmz (not .kml) to your hard drive.  Transfer the file to your Android device by email or Google Drive."

5. Enjoy!

I really dislike how every paid app has to be a subscription. A simple Overlay ain't no justifiable SaaSy Service right here! I'm quite pleased with the workaround! Within google earth I can navigate with gps, drop and save pins, measure distances, and it works on my phone or my ~decade old spare tablet even with no wifi / data connection. I might even buy a waterproof case.

Right on, congrats on the crabundance!

Eddie did you happen to make it out there? Something came up and I couldn't go unfortunately. Weather seemed fantastic today

Welcome my Sonoma county brethren!

10
BadAshOutdoors I didn't mean to hijack your thread. Hopefully you have a good day out there tomorrow

I'll try and make a point to report back! Definitely keeping it to the inner bay. I've yet to paddle the 10ft Lifetime yak too far out and Monday will not be the day that changes  :smt005

I've got my eye on the 11:09am slack low tide. I've had luck close to shore on slack incoming tides. Hopefully this works out too. I've got my eye on an area where it levels out around 55ft deep. If all goes to plan there'll be crab dip at thanksgiving!

12
I get free fish heads and trimmings from a local seafood shop. I'd be happy to bring plenty extra

13
I was able to find 'em on the 13th. I could use some company if anyone will be there on Monday (the 20th) and wants to link up! Or I could bring the dog for company but he don't say much

14
I was thinking about it but it's looking too windy for me. Offshore (out to sea) gusts up to 20 knots throughout the day. This is according to Surfline. I've got my eye on Monday though!

Happy crab days! Cheers to those out at bodega bay today (especially if you're the folks I met)! I was happy to not get skunked, remorsed to lose some gear, and stoked that my one keeper dungee was a big ol chonker!!

I made a rookie mistake and I lost a new hoop net in less than 30 ft of water. Less than 200 yards from shore / the jetty. I'm not happy about it but you live and learn. Should I report lost gear somewhere? Any golf ball divers who want a new business endeavor?

Sorry Mom, I know, I should've capitalized on this lucrative idea.
