WHERE Would you GO? Help me decide where to go please -- I need some options

As the title suggest im looking for suggestions  (realistic options)..... Typically I would be in my Hometown of NEW ORLEANS chasing ducks and tailing reds, BUT... As luck would have it, its not lining up. Due to COVID, several house remodels in the family, and some other reasons, I find myself free from responsibility this week and then some..... Wife and kids are at Grandmas in TN and I got a green-light to go anywhere in the world and go fish (or hunt). I got a TON of SKYMILES from my minstrel ways.... and even a house/dog sitter. Ive been fishing in alot of places and IM open to loading up the truck or heading to the airport. The easier the accommodation and yak setup the better. I can travel with gear...... need yak, beach, sunshine, fighting lines......GO!!!

1. Im CoVID IMMUNE - I already had it, it kicked my ass....

2.A lot of countries have test restrictions and its a short list. Costa is open but I have yak fished there before but would go if right situation

3.IM CONSIDERING Anywhere via Airport or loading up the truck/camp on West coast.....

4. Ive been fishing all over...costa indo mexico

Places I havent been.... LA JOLLA... KEY WEST...

What ya GOT????

THANKS EVERYONE!!!!

Hello everyone, so my trusted PA has a drive well crack ive been battling. its in the little pocket on the stern side of the drive well where the mirage drive rests. I bought this boat in 2010 so shes seen some years but I love her. I tried having here professionally repaired but im not sure the guy knew what he was doing and it failed after a month or two. I ve tried marine gooping it from the inside but its in a really weird spot. does anyone have any advice other than send her down the road to someone more skilled than me to love her and get a new one. Ive called hobie several times and seems like every time i get a different answer. From weld her on the outside and goop inside, to try Dupont 810? (anyone have experience with this 810)? looking for recommendations, or suggested repair shops, or possibly and good repair method. I live up in Tahoe so kind of far from everything. Any advice is greatly appreciated thx and tight lines - JUDE

For Sale / Hobie Tandem
« on: March 10, 2016, 09:39:09 PM »
My buddy is not too tech savvy so he asked me to post his Hobie tandem located in South Tahoe for sale to NCKA brothers before resorting to craigslist. It is yellow, i believe it is a 2010. Comes with 2 non-turbo mirage drives, 2 paddles, and the larger sailing rudder. It hasnt been used that much since he has an outback and got a divorce. Hes looking to buy a pro angler, so a trade for one is possible. All reasonable offers will be considered. I will post pics soon but im getting the thread going for those interested. Asking 2000$.

General Fishing Tips / Best braid to leader knot? FG? Albright? Bristol?
« on: November 27, 2015, 12:06:09 AM »
So as some of you who read my Tahoe report i lost the biggest Tahoe fish I ever had on the other day. Easily over 25lbs pounds. I was jiggin when i got slammed... The fish took s 200ft run at blistering speed. When i got to the 400+ ft of line on the spool the line began to cross thread between the guide and tension greatly increased. When i made my move to loosen drag the fish took off even more... Slammed my hands into the kayak and pinned me. Tension increased till the line broke.... My line broke at my back to back uni on the flourocarbon side. I was using 10lb seaguar for the first time, i dont like it clearly prob stick with pline. Anyway ive had many sleepless nights after losing this fish. Im interested if anyone uses the FG knot? What is the best way to tie it? Anyone use the Albright? Or improved bristol? Thoughts?

Fishing Tournaments and Events / Kayak Wars region discrepancy
« on: July 26, 2014, 10:46:09 PM »
So i feel like this has been addressed but our ncka bros are divided as KW changed Cali to all southwest. It kinda sucks because it divides our record keeping. My most recent kokanee record that wouldve broken my NW record was posted in SW. Anyway ive requested that i be changed to a NW angler as well as my records for the sake of continuity & fun competing with my NCKA bros... Just making everyone aware. Any question or concerns post up. If you are on same team as me i req we all go NW but somehow we all got switched to SW again. So im leaving it up to anglers to make their req with OZ individually thx...

Wanted to let everyone know Hobie has released a new rudder for the pro angler to address its tracking & turning issues. Discussion thread is at the hobie pro angler forum. Its only 26$ and apparently is a great improvement. Ask your dealer or order online, any questions just ask ... ;)
