Calm down boys... :smt005

The stealth has been parked too long and the fish showing in the bay is minor.  Jonzin' fo da glide.
My buddy Marc is a paddling fanatic mega enthusiast and I'm going way light gear today.  No backrest, paddle jacket and splash pants, no booties, waterproof socks.   Doing sprint intervals until I lose my form then rest for a bit, then push it again, every catch and exit counts.  Sit tall.  All core with heel pressure power transfer full body mindset.   I hope to start with 5 minute stroke slams working up longer intervals and eventually finding out a consistent strength for distance.

Launching from Paradise on the low..on da wattah' from 1-2 then back to work...stay tuned.. that's what I'm trying to do...

Some paddlers , pull vs push.

Are you a puller or a pusher?  I think of Hawaii 5-0 from the 70’s  when I think of pullers, I started in a canoe pulling and had to relearn my stroke in a kayak.

The idea is to plant that blade into cement and pull the kayak to it but the exit is the key to not becoming a pusher, energy is wasted past the hip.  My buddy oc1's and team canoe's.   My goal is to transfer all canoe paddling knowledge to this platform.  The stealth is surf ski esque as some of the paddling if not all philosophies are applicable.  From your perspective, I would love to know what you've discovered... :smt006

I do not use the motion of pulling in cement: torso and arms.  I push , stay upright, and maybe less side to side motion.

Very poetic…..and a perfect exhibition of gentlemanly qualities when one is engaged in formal dance….with a canoe.

One extra paddle, phone, flag, pfd and radio.  Ended up doing counts of 50 on the way up with one count being both sides.  Against the tide and wind but nothing stressful.  On the way back I went with 77 counts and a casual 11 count to rest then another power round.  Nothing torturous but certainly broke a sweat in ye old undergarment…satisfied yet I’m thinking from paradise or San Quentin, red rock or the length of the Richmond bridge might be calling… :smt006

Nice Eddie! I'd do a trip to Red Rock, with the right tides, haha. I was actually thinking from Point Molate that wouldn't be too far of a trip, couple miles each way maybe.  I've heard the striper fishing can get pretty exciting over there... On my Bay Area bucket list for sure.
