Sunrise Mountain Sports is on board and I'm hopeful that we will have access to the rental fleet of Kayaks and gear that is already there. Still working on the details, but if this works out, all we will need is our own personal kayaks, fishing gear and food.
All extra Yaks, pfds, paddles will be provided by Sunrise with us managing it...
Again, were still not for sure on this, lots details to work out, but that is how it is looking....
Right on Sunrise Mountain Sports!!!! :smt041
The VA already has 20 Vets with many more wanting to go, and I still have not talked to the Warrior Transition Unit in Sacramento.
What I need now,
Is to know how many can help out and that will dictate to how many Vets we can invite.
Lots to do, but lets start with How many can help out on the 8th...
Not only will we need people to guide, but what from what we experienced at the last event, we will need people to cook and help with getting Vets set up with gear etc... and maybe people just to help get Vets and possible family, out on Yaks without fishing.
Lots of different " Situations " with the Vets,
and from what we experienced last time, we need to be flexible...
So, Thanks Again for all your interest in helping and Here we Go Again!!!

don i'll put in notice to work. i was worried that i wouldnt be much help because i sold all my kayaks except for my current one. but i'd be happy to help out especially if kim allows access to all of sunrise's kayaks.
i could also bring my boat if you want instead. let me check in with work tomorrow on using a volunteer day, at worst i'll take my own damn day off.
