Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

If anybody needs a campsite in Monterey for the MBK derby, let me know. I can secure a site at Veterans Memorial campground for ya. Iíve been doing that since 2010 for anybody who needs a spot.

I finally looked at the website. First sentence is wrong on both fronts: it is neither the largest nor the oldest kayak-fishing tournament.

Now I'm curious.... What is the largest and oldest west coast kayak tournament?

Well, the MBK derby has been going since 2005/6. And Gimme Shelter has had over 220+ participants multiple times. Thereís also a long-running one in Socal but I canít remember the name (it was named after somebody) and not sure if itís still going.

Scott Moyer Memorial was the So-Cal tournament. It was around for a year or two before Elk, if Iím not mistaken. They stopped doing it a long thing ago.

Yes. The tournament was losing participants. there were issues between people from different parts of SoCal. I remember told there was not much socializing, if I recall correctly.

So this is off, right?  No one is going?  I want to cancel if no one is going to be there.

Check your contract for the cancellation fee. It may only be $20 vs $75. If you go, I will be at C7.
