While fishing for salmon on the American river today with Mr. Matt. I had this young spike buck cross the river.  Good swimmer made it across in no time.

It's still a trip getting on a yak. When people ask me what I did during the weekend I tell them I went kayaking, but words really cant explain it. I get tired trying to explain sometimes. It takes one that has been there to really understand. This was one of those moments where I wish that person that asks what I did on the weekend or "I should try that out sometime" was actually there. Then again maybe it wouldn't be as special. Cheers!

I enjoyed this gallery! Photography is one of my hobbies. I cheated though...these were from my boat at Lake Berryessa. Pretty cool day. While running into a cove to fish, I pushed up a bunch of coots. A peregrine swooped in a grabbed one. He took it to shore, where a red tail came in and stole it, which in turn lost it to a golden eagle, and ultimately the coyote scared them all off and ran away with the prize. Pretty neat experience and I was lucky to have my camera handy.
