They said its mostly catfish, but this is a family fun event where even rods/tackle are provided for $8
Saturday 6/10 at 9 AM

However, one would need base access.

On a side note, let me know if you also want to paddle together when rockfishing along Cannery Row or Del Monte beach in Monterey,  I can show you some good spots.

This is strange and shocking I hadnít heard about it before. They put up signs about 4yrs ago saying C&R barbless artificials only. That lake is the destination for dozens of stormdrains and acts as a filterÖthe water slowly seeps thru the dunes into the ocean, leaving behind all the chemicals in the sedimentóthatís why they have to dredge it every few years. When I fished there, I would not touch the water. Maybe Iíll check it out this wknd with my son.

Do you get a special prize if you catch a 3-eyed fish?
And have you traveled very far?
Far as the eye can see
How often have you been there?
Often enough to know

Its not a carp, but a golden shiner

How many years ago was that picture taken?  If there were bass then, they could still be there now?  But chances are so slim at NPS, it'd be better to fish for bass in El Estero
