Welcome Rudes,
I also recently started on this forum and kayak fishing. I do have some arthritis and actually picked up a motorized kayak (old town autopilot 120). Although I dont get as much cardio (do that with other activities) but Im not tired at the end of the day and enjoy my outings. I can go pretty far with it and can go against wind and current pretty well (albeit slow). So, I think a trolling motor add-on is definitely a plus. Let me know if you go out there again, I can join you. Jim 34

Hey Byunique,
Will do. I think I may need to get sand wheels for my cart first. 36

Thanks for the warm welcome. I would love to meet up in the future and catch whatever is on the menu.
I just got back from bethel island. My son caught a few bites but only landed one bass. It was a 4lber. So good day for sure on the kayak Im looking forward to going out to Crissy field(or any other nearby launch sites) if there are opportunities. Let me know. I have a funky work schedule, so meet for me just depends. Thanks James 37

Hi all,
I am also new to kayaking (just got one a few weeks ago) and took it down to the delta to catch some bass. I am looking forward to catching halibut, striped bass, and doing some inshore fishing also (over time). I am retired Army and long time on/off (mostly shore) fisherman due to work demands. Looking forward to contributing to the group! Jim |
