I catch~release most of my fish at 55 ft with a downrigger.I troll from the damn> north...in the main creek channel (middle of the lake)...and consistently catch fish.Just my experience...

Buoys...rope...each trap has a bait box and a Scotty bait jar...just add salt water.

I'm with both of you guys...Spring Lake was a great fishing place for all (Kids and Big Kids)...Sonoma County needs to spend some time,clearing out the brush along the lake.It's way to overgrown.There are still HUGE bass in there..!

Chattich's correct....Caught several years ago...just sharing tactics and where to fish.The creek channel is THE place to target trophy bass.They lay on the bottom and ambush trout that swim by.Wishing all my brothers on here...and great fishing life...Loco4Ab's San Pablo Res. has huge bass as well...here's a few pics from there.

I fish with large trout swim baits in the creek channel...that runs from the north end of the lake and circles the big island south.It varies from 18 ft to 12 ft...electronics are a must.
