I would chance to ad(?), "if"? you need to wear prescription glasses, make sure you have a croaky or some kind of recover measure(?). In the case that you need long or short distance correction, then DO NOT lose your lenses (carry replacements maybe?).

I have learned this through experience.

best,

Arm pit of the state
As for the movie, if we only had two channels to choose from and the other channel had my girl on it, I'd let the wife watch my girl for the tenth time and go to bed early myself.

Sheeze? And I thought, that we had it bad; "Morro Bay = a drinking town with a fishing problem".

Guessing? Crescent City or the city of Weed don't need to be mentioned?

I'm kinda attracted to viewing the movie from Willits now.

CA Regulations / Re: Can’t an Officer “Radio in” My License Info?
« on: February 18, 2018, 11:22:42 AM »
...my Co2 on this thread

While fishing off Leffingwell Landing a summer or so ago(?), a fishing buddy and I were visited by the DF&G mid-day, while off shore on our kayaks.
"Garabaldi" and I had our limits of rockies and were angling for a ling or a cabby when the officers pulled up between us. I had realized earlier that I had left my license dangling from my rear view mirror inside my truck, so when I was asked to present, I made my confession. "Sorry, I left my license in the truck". The officer checked that we were compliant within limits, had our approved landing nets visible, and looked as "if" we were properly attired with PFD's etc. which we were. The officer asked for my name, birthdate, and home address, then asked "where(?)" did I purchase my California fishing license. After writing all this down, he said he would check when he returned to base, and "if" I checked out I would not hear from him or be cited. I asked "IF" I could see is badge number (and this officer complied) so, I had some important details on my side.

Never heard from CF&D.

Take this with a grain of salt "if" you wish, but I think it's up to the call of the individual officer, and I musta bumped into a fair one, 'nuff said.

General Talk / Shark Shield question?
« on: November 21, 2017, 09:26:33 AM »
For those of you that deploy Shark Shield from your kayak;

- do you use one of  the forward scupper holes so you can retract the stinger when beaching?

- or do you just run it out one of the rear holes and trust that it clears when beaching?

I could see using a forward scupper hole  and retracting the stinger, but what about getting a line tangled around it when landing a fish?

Motorcycles use a product called Cable Lube. I have some from that endeavor and use it on my T 15's rudder cable system = No problems!

General Talk / Re: Catching mullets in Sf bay
« on: October 26, 2017, 08:57:25 PM »
Mullet are very shy and wary to angle for. My extended family lives on the island of Brach in the Adriatic Sea, and they set overnight traps for them there. Local anglers (who are very patient) sometimes catch a mullet on bread dough balls. It takes just the right amount of time for the mullet to chew past the small #8 hook on a very light bite, to actually hook one. Usually found near a seawall or jetty.

I hope my kharma has been to my favor(?), because I would hate to come back as a flying fish after seeing this video.
