The other day Michael Rischer of the Hobie team in Portland was dino fishing on the Wilamette river and had a very close call with a PB. He got it all on camera. It's a tough one to watch (more than GWS my personal nightmare). It is really crowded this time of year but run ins like this are the first I've heard of.

Be safe out there guys and please fly those safety flags.

Wow that was scary to watch. Glad Jammer wasn't hurt or his yak too badly damaged. That pber needs to pull his head out of his azz before he hits the water next time. jim

PS: Can't believe he didn't drop some F-bombs after all that!

Just friggen scary to watch that video!  That is mainly why I won't take my yak in waters were there are power boaters or I will stay in the no wake zone.

In the NWKA thread he said that the PB wasn't fleeing. They went and got his paddle and brought it back to him.

No word on BAC of PB driver?

Glad no one was hurt... :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

Especially considering that he had a salmon stolen by a furbag a couple days earlier.  Pretty remarkable that he kept so calm after a trying weekend on the water.

WOW

I had a jet boat come around a corner on the Klamath when I was fishing in a narrow section and. Come within paddles reach and that was BS can't imagine actually being hit.
