having owned and paddle both of these kayaks - here's my 2 cents:

Cobra Tourer Pros:

fast
light weight
lot's of hatches
very confortable seating

cons:
not a lot of room for flushmount rod holders
no carrying handles

-----------------------------------------------------------

Scupper Pro pros:

fast
light weight

cons:
uncomfortable seating
no carrying handles

I'd lean more towards the Cobra Tourer  :smt002

I have only paddled the scupper, not my style. I did notice a ton of Tourers for rent at HMB Kayak Company on Sunday, it would be a good place for a test paddle.

J - just keep an eye on the Hatch(s) of the Tourer - since I got mine second hand - my front and rear hatch were leaking - I could only assume that it was not installed correctly or not enough goop was used during the installation.

just my 2 cents :smt004
