Ya know, I heard on the radio yesterday that someone was talking about an inverted rainbow picture someone took recently.  Apparently that is very rare!

From Wikipedia: "More rarely, a secondary rainbow is seen, which is a second, fainter arc, outside the primary arc, with colours in the opposite order, that is, with violet on the outside and red on the inside."

OK time for the science geek in me to come out!   :smt003

I always remember learning in a college science class that all rainbows are double rainbows, it's just that you need to be standing in the right place to see the refraction properly. Also, the reason why it appears as a double rainbow with the colors reversed is that what you are actually seeing is a refraction of all light within sunlight's spectrum. Right in the dead center between the two rainbows is the point of refraction and there is light between both rainbows that is not visible to the human eye leading out in opposite directions, hence the opposite color scheme.  :color:

rain means low air pressure and rising fish.  My forecast is for a hot surface bit.   :toothy2: Just bring your wet weather gear.

Rain, Shine, mud, dust, whatever, I would be there no matter what they threw out, but alas, it just wasn't in the cards for me!  :smt089

Have a great time, everyone! Looking forward to the reports.
