Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Re: Guide for a Dux salmon trip« on: August 30, 2021, 10:00:54 AM »#1You will have to lift your PA. Over the gate.#2 My outback is slow, makes timing the waves, very important. I am 2 for 5 landing intact. #3 the bigger the kayak the harder they crash. I am on my 2nd yak in 3 years. Luckily my warranty was still current. I have busted my seat, net, rod holders, lost rods,hats,plyers.etc. +1 Bolinas is not forgiving this year. I had the same reel sent back to service due to sand damage 2 times already due to Bolinas beach(probably my own problem of not removing the reel before landing). 4

I always jump early in LM. Good thing is that it has shallow water where I can wade in and out with my AI

I came crossed a surf ski on facebook for sale $600: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/182600016864850/
after checking the specs(19ft long and less than 20inches wide), I figured out I am not skillful enough to handle it and/or surf ski is not a good fishing choice. 9
For Sale / Re: Yakima racks 58" round bars - $100« on: April 20, 2021, 01:53:50 PM »
does the mount fit most of the car roof rails? I am looking for a long bar that I can carry two kayaks at the same time.

I am getting a Suzuki 2.5 on Sunday! @Tong FYI I got it from a SD dealer "Inmar Marine Group".
One idea I want to try is to replace the scotty mount with a solid 2x2x4 block to mount the bar to patr. I only need 1 scotty base when not using the engine. I will start with 2x4 wood for prototyping. Quick question @Lucky13: what is the diameter of the knobs? Looks like they have 1/4, 3/8 and 5/16 in stock. https://www.woodpeck.com/jig-and-fixture/knobs/multi-knob.html 14

General Fishing Tips / Re: Kayak lock on roof rack recommendations« on: June 30, 2020, 01:56:06 PM »
I used steel cable too. No lock on it, I just use a clip to connect the cable and lock it in the car.
