Picked up two last night at big 5 for $15. Each. The specs and features seem like it might be a good or even great kayak knife. I really like their snips so I'm hoping I will like these too. Does anyone have any experience with one?

I looking to pick up a pistol within the next couple weeks. At this point I'd like to go with a 40 cal because of ammo availability and price. I would also like to stay around 500$ out the door price.
My main focus right now is on the xd 40 with the 4" barrel it's gonna come in at $534. Including my saftey cert. Any other guns I should be looking at in this range? Tia

As I'm just getting started with a bug whip. I take it with me on most outing's with the few flys I've tied. Went out bank fishing afterwork the other day,as soon as I got to the waters edge I noticed it covered in black tad poles. Tied on the only bead head black woolly buger I had and went for it.  Had a hard time with line management,casting and trying to mend.
Ended up missing a bunch of hits (thinking blue hill) before finally landing my first crappie. The one bugger I had cam apart so I switched to a spinning setup with 1.5" grubs.
 They are on fire in the motherlode. Hearing lots of reports of nice crappie at Pedro and new melones. Get em while they are easy.

So I got a smoking deal at Sierra trading in Reno Saturday and picked up a redington delta 5/6. Now I need to decide what weight line and rod to pair it with. I plan on mostly trout with possibly a little bass. Is there much difference between the 5 and 6?

I've got a GoPro 3 silver that I would like to trade for a point and shoot type camera.
Something with around the same value. Something like a Panasonic Linux.

Alright many of you saw me post this on facebook,but I thought I would share here as well.
A couple weeks ago I decided to order up some equipment to make my own jigs. Well I started out making some small shakey heads for bass. Got bored real fast so on to ocean heads. The mold is a standard 3-4oz shad head that has been modified so that the jig takes 15mm doll/stuffed animal eyes.
I poured and coated a test jig last night and I must say I damn happy with the results. I'm heading to the valley this weekend to stock up on some different colors eyes,jig hooks and possibly some different colors of powder paint.
