Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Lake Chabot 11.4.12

Trout bite coming on at Chabot.  I was shorefishing and wishing for a boat.   A few big ones pulled in from troopers around Raccoon Pt area. Saw flight of 10 pelicans in a v and what seemed like a flock of kingfishers on a school of fish. A great day out.

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / New Brighton SB 10/25/12

First time kayak fishing.  Fun time with rockfish and croaker action in the kelp beds.  Caught 2 of each, lost about 5 including a beautiful vermillion (will use the net from now on) and one I never saw - had the pole doubled over and pulled the tip into the water.  8lb test was twanging and finally snapped.  Frozen squid / frozen anchovies both working.  A couple of dolphins and a seal to keep us company.  Can't wait to come back -
