Looks like it is in between iCOM and Standard Horizon then. Knowing I will go ocean fishing weather alerts could be interesting.
I haven't seen comment from Cobra's owners yet. I will be interested as I will have a tendency to believe Kayak Angler Magazine (unless their gear review was more advertising...) 633

Kayak Angler Early Summer 2013 edition recommends Cobra and what it looks like the HH300 model but while looking on line it doesn't seem to have good reviews??? Any advise on a reasonably priced floating VHF radio?

Thanks for your comments. I'm indeed new to paddling and tried kayak fishing for the first time last week with Kayak Connection in Santa Cruz. I had an Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 but I'd like something a bit more stable and comfortable. I'm not getting younger and stability and comfort is more important that performance... Read good review on the Predator 13 but mainly for lakes nothing really on ocean. One of the guide has a OK Big Game and it also looked stable and comfy

New to kayak fishing and looking for a stable and comfortable yak for ocean fishing (mainly out of Santa Cruz and Half Moon bay). Any recommendations?
