Dog-friendly kayak camping near the bay area?

(1/1)

KPD:
Kayak camping on Tomales Bay is great, but they recently banned dogs. Any recommendations of places that aren’t too far from the peninsula that have some type of boat-in camping and allow dogs?

piscellaneous:
I don’t have a dog, but I’ve been looking into boat-in camping at Don Pedro for a possible fall weekend trip. They have miles of shoreline for dispersed boat-in camping and they allow dogs in the dispersed area, but not in the developed campgrounds.

I think we got all of them on this thread, although not certain which are dog friendly: https://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=97840.0

I wanted badly to do Don Pedro this year with it being so full.  But I could never really figure out a game plan on where would be good to camp by sitting at home on Google maps.  Englebright and Lake Sonoma look like good ones too, but I didn't quickly find info on dogs so you might have better luck.

piscellaneous:
I was thinking launching out of Moccasin and heading up the Tuolumne River arm could be a cool trip.
Looks more wild and scenic than the open areas of the lake and looks maybe fishy too.

KPD:
Thanks, everyone. That's a very helpful list.
