She has both of those things! if it isn't too much trouble, she would love the opportunity to try one. I have a tandem that we both use also, but certainly nicer in your own yak!

My mom is coming up with me! She recently moved to the area and is very interested in getting a fishing kayak of her own. I told her you guys are a great group to ask all the questions she has!

does she have  a license and pole? I could bring an extra Yak if you want

Awesome! Just make sure she has a PFD! We'll have plenty of tackle for her to use.

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / Kinda mental but fun.
« Last post by Eddie on May 08, 2024, 01:01:53 PM »
There's a park n' ride near the salon and people drop off junk "ish" stuff.  I was in the market for a galvanized garbage can to store some gardening supplies and was looking for a 6 gallon with a lid to hold my agricultural lime.  There was a new one there stuffed with sheets and some debris so I wrapped up the contents in a sheet and took the can with the lid.  31 gallons.  Kinda stoked.

This is the mental kicker.  I found a new ultrasonic cleaner and I've decided to drop some seasoned lures in it with evaporust and I'm thinkin' it shines up my lures "reel" nice.  Stay tuned, 42,000 vibrations tuned... :smt006

General Talk / Re: Mercury chart on 51 species of fish

What do the different color bands mean?  How do I interpret this data?

-Allen

The higher the "mean" the more mercury accumulated.   Of course this data is not "perfect"  due to the different sample size but it gives you the idea about mercury accumulated in these species.

I get that part, the more mercury accumulated.  At what color does it go from ok to bad?  And what is the units of measurement?

-Allen

I believe the unit of measurement is mg.
