mike, his friend, colm, rich and diver mike all fished linda mar today. spectacular weather, calm, overcast 2ft swll at most. i fished all the way to egg rock, trolling and jigging.  i only caught small rockfish, i have been spoiled by mill creek and elk.  mike caught a keeper ling and an assortment of rockies, rich speared a pretty big ling, maybe 33 inches.  the fishing is not that good but if you are a newbie and want some calm ocean water, go for it.

The question I have is where are the Lings and Cabs. Yesterday I caught upwards of 15 fish.  Kept a limit. I used my usual rigs (bills swims, 5-8oz diamond jigs.  Every 5 drops or so it seemed lilke I had a fish on but lings or cabs?

Chris, you must have read my post a couple of weeks back about our epic trip to Egg Rock and the one china cod and so you had to try it too!  :smt002
My ling today was 31", 11 lbs. There was a little surge but mostly nice conditions and good viz.
PS - I found a pair of fins on the beach. Anyone leave them?

I did drop down an small bule Rich.  Nothing wanted him. I was right at the base of Pedro in great rocky condition. I drifted from 65 ft of water to 45 with good shelves.  no one home.  The wind was pushing 35-20 and the drift was fast. that could have had something to do with it.
