General Talk / Need salty baits... we help web site testers« on: October 12, 2018, 11:42:57 AM »
Hey folks need some Help! Our Stride55.com (me and Kara's new biz) site is up and seems to be functioning OK. Can everyone that reads this take two minutes to signup for a free class so I can see if it's processing members/class/credits correctly. Almost done with the buildout so making sure all is functioning correctly before the doors open. Combining Wordpress/ Mindbody and FitMetrix widgets/heelcode css has been challenging to say the least. The registration link is on the home page top right of your screen in orange- Login | Register
www.stride55.com If you can help us out... I will randomly pick 3 peeps on Wed 10/17/18. These 3 people will win a $25 Bait Gift Card to BransonBaits.com. The only rules are you must input your actual info (no fake profile), enter only once per person and respond to the Registration email you'll receive shortly after completing the registration process. Also add the BransonBaits logo (see Attached) to your profile photo so I know who's in it to win it. Thanks and we really appreciate your help and good luck!!! Also if you happen to see or experience anything weird during or after the process please let me know. Thanks! Mike 3

Data overlay should display gps coordinates on your screen. You should also be able to adjust the gps types. This should help.

We gave away one ticket to everyone. None were sold. All extra money after expenses was given to PIF.
Oh wait, there was that wicked cool 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT I bought. I considered that a write off. Good night sir. 5

No raffle tickets were sold which usually goes to pay for all expenses and some raffle products. We just gave away the raffle tickets for this event. Anything left over would have gone to PIF.

Fishing Tournaments and Events / Re: Rollins Lake Roundup 4/28« on: April 30, 2018, 04:26:53 PM »Quote My bad I guess Brigham got me by a couple inches. But the DQ and rule are still bull shit James put in a great effort and it was good to see him on his home waters. Rollins lake is absolutely a hidden gem. I can understand his emotion and being upset, it suks. But the rules were VERY simple and VERY clear. James did NOT follow the rules and I wasn't going to bend them. NOT for him NOT for anyone! All the other guys DID follow the rules - they stuck around knowing or be DQ'd. Why should any one angler be different than the entire field? We called his name several times with no response. He doidn't even tell anyone he was leaving. Nothing else I can do but DQ him as the rules stated. But, he's not alone, a few others got DQ'd because they also left. They accepted what they did which cost them. Being a director for these events is sometimes very tough and you need to make some tough decisions, it sucks, people get pissed but it was the right thing to do. Rules are rules, follow them and don't get DQ'd. James was also DQ's at Shasta and again the directors would bend, it sucks but we have to follow them. Live and learn. The tourney director(me) received no money, I do not enter my own events and never will. The winner of the bass category was a director from CVKA (Central Valley Kayak Anglers) who came up to fish the event which was awesome to see him and his wife in our neck of the woods. All the funds after expenses goes back to the club or a charity. I've donated thousands of dollars and prob hundreds of personal hours to the sport and those evolved who may need assistance. And I'll keep doing it. I'd like to see more people step up and give back some time and $. The LRC money I believe went to purchase the Hobie Revo16 year long raffle which generated thousands more for PIF. This formula has since been replicated several times, which is awesome. But, overall everyone had a blast at Rollins. We gave away a beautiful Hobie Revo13. Lots of smiles and fish got caught on Sat. A few others also picked up a couple Hobies... cheap. The Potluck/ BBQ Hills Flat put on was outstanding. There support for our community has been amazing to say the least! Full roundup report to follow once I decompress. Thank You to those who called me and said "dont sweat it, keep doing what you do" I really appreciate it! ~Mike 7
For Sale / Re: HOBIE BLOWOUT - New Late Models« on: April 26, 2018, 09:56:52 PM »
I believe the 14’ Revo13 has the old seat, which actually I like. With a good surf 2 summit seat, it’s very comfortable the way it cradles you You can cut through some serious wind and waves no problem in that boat. This is also the first year they added the Lowrance scupper. If I had the money I’d get a 14’ just for the salt. Best year for the Revo13 in my opinion, should have never sold mine.

Fishing Tournaments and Events / Re: Register Now: Rollins Lake Roundup 4/28« on: April 16, 2018, 03:50:32 PM »As far as camping the night before do we need reservations and what camp ground is everyone staying at? I got a few buddies going and we’re going to be drinking a few adult beverages and making a fire the night before if anyone is camping.Greenhorn. Should have a word on discount camping or special offer tomorrow. I'll have a pony and a small whiskey bar for adults. Greenhorn camp ground is the spot... Rollins is a MESS right now! HIGH rate of overflow! River flooding below dam and chocolate milk color in lake... sand creek is a river. Camping may also be affected due to high water and run off in camp sites. I'm sure Mike is making some calls arranging things. Lake can change a lot in a couple weeks but plan on stained to muddy water color. Gonna be a grind to wring out a win but, If you get something working, the fish are there. Trout still popping on top. Browns lurking off points, Bass in 20-40' of water (spoons and loud jigs) and crappie in the trees... They have to be hungry! Going to be fun!Looks like 80's this weekend. Lake should be prime for the event. What are the points per inch for each of the 3 fish (bass, trout, panfish)? Or is it just scored by total inches? No points per inch, just total inches is the score. Big fish will determine any ties. Remember it's not one of each, pick a species and catch three. You can choose which species you want to enter when you check in. You never know what you might catch! Woot. I'm actually gonna make it. Signing up now.Right on Moo, looking forward to seeing you. Bring the fam! FYI, per-registration ends Saturday night at midnight. looking forward to seeing everyone. For the next 6 days I will be posting up the prizes which will go on the brand new Revo16. Fishing Tournaments and Events / Re: Yak-A-Bass Lake Berryessa Putah Creek Campground April 22nd« on: April 04, 2018, 01:55:50 PM »These events are a lot of fun just like our NCKA events. Potlucks, fishing, just chilling around the campfire. Good times. The tourney payouts are really good too. A few of us NCKA peeps fish these events and always have a good time. I'm in Rob. We got our Csite for Sat and good roll for Sat morning. You forgot the Cry Baby Soup rule, it coincides with 50 yard article 1 aka "what a dick" rule. Although big boy pants and luke warm cry baby soup will be available at the launch. Hahahabaaahhhh |
