Hit the forebay on 11-10-23 from midday until sunset. I spent the first few hours cranking and throwing soft plastics up shallow hoping a few bass were still up feeding before they commit to going out deep. I missed a solid 3 pounder at the yak and had about a 4 pounder chase it up but didn't commit.

I ended up catching adecent striper on a squarebill up shallow and hooked into a big fish shortly after but it came off before I got a look. I figured it was a big striper by the fight it had and the next cast confirmed my suspicion. I had another solid hit but missed the fish and had a 10 to 12 pound striper chase the lure all the way to the yak. I switched back over the a SPRO little John and moved out to the deeper edge of the flats hoping for some stripers.

I ended up getting a bass finally, an American shad (first out of the forebay for me) and got into a handful more schoolie size stripers. The fly fishermen that were working the deeper parts of the flats did very well on the stripers throughout the day but the trolleys had a hard time.

I'll post a link to the video here or you can check it out on my YouTube channel at bucksnboils.
