General Talk / Geesh... Go Figure on the Weather!
« on: December 30, 2014, 01:59:38 PM »
I was hoping to get in one last trip to the Sonoma Coast before Jan 1.  Checked the weather forecast and the wind is at gale force - until Jan 1!  Then 5 straight days of 4mph winds and 3 ft swells.  Go figure!

General Fishing Tips / Limit on Crab Traps?
« on: October 14, 2013, 01:58:31 PM »
I'm looking forward to the opening of Crab Season!  One question - other than the amount of traps you can safely stack on a Kayak, is there a CA DFW regulation on the number of crab traps one person can drop at one time? I looked in the regs and only found a limit on commercial vessels (60 traps).  Thanks for the input...

Hobie Kayaks / Hobie Trial Paddle & Purchase
« on: July 15, 2013, 02:06:08 PM »
My wife and I are interested in trying out Hobie kayaks, with the intent of purchase. Where is the closest Hobie seller where we could test out different models - we live in Napa. Thanks for the help!

Conditions looking good tomorrow AM for some ling and rockfish action. I'll be launching early if anyone wants to join in. I'll be using the new swim baits from Jeff Baker, recommended by Rider. Thank you for pointing a newbie in the right direction Jeff and James! Hopefully a good report to follow tomorrow. Cheers!
