Very protected and tides not a factor. As the OP posted, best to do when there is some water in there as opposed to low tide. Franks Tract out of Bethel would be fun too for your tandem adventure. Launch at Sugar Barge.

Yesterday I spoke to a lady at an Almanor property mgmt company. She confirmed fire had reached the airport and spot fires were happening. Everyone supposed to evacuate to the causeway? My daughter has been bouncing from her place in Quincy and the ranch she oversees in Doyle near Chilcoot. Many of her friends have lost their homes. I could not figure how to access your link.

First Pfizer in March, no issues. Second shot last night. Some arm soreness, maybe a little tired but grateful to be rejoining society. My best fishing bud has banned me from his bass boat for a year because he takes care of his immune-depressed mother. Meeting him at Oroville next week!
