Still no power in my neighborhood.   Latest update from PG&E power to be restored around 1pm today.   Hope this schedule won't slip again.

Unfortunately estimate times change on priority. If an electrical pole has fallen due to a tree for example, then it moves back lower priority repairs.Parts availability, sometimes having to come outside of your local area.

Hopefully this will not be the case.

I'd have to say I think I was spared some of the predicted forces, no trees fell on roadways really around my area.  Definitely some fell up the hill from me as they always do.  One thing that I love about living in the forest is the sound of a tree falling  :smt005

Finally got our estimate... seems it's the same estimate for the entire SLV: 10 pm Tuesday.  So, yeah, we'll be on generator into Wednesday morning for sure.

Yeah once I heard that I called for a hotel room, now at the Ocean Pacific Lodge in Santa Cruz  :smt006   Updates like that are really, "Definitely not today, probably not tomorrow, but yeah Wednesday looks possible."  :smt005

No, but still have the crab snare gear  :smt005 stopped by the wharf and it's chocolate soup pouring out of the san lorenzo didn't see blue water for a long ways off.  Sad the end of the wharf is pretty messed up and my favorite restaurant is closed.

Me and alien headed back up North in about a week and a half. Going to base at Doran and fish for steelhead at the Russian River. If all else fails, dungies and mussels at Doran.  :smt001

PGE says our ETE (estimated time for electricity) is 4:00pm tomorrow, so we must have higher priority than Boulder Creek.

I love the part on the PGE website where they list the cause of our outage:

“Our preliminary determination is that your outage was caused by the weather.”
Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away...

It's now "4:00pm tomorrow", which is when PG&E said that we'd have electricity, but now they just updated it to 2 days from now (Thursday) by 10:00pm. That's quite a miss, even by PG&E standards...

PG&E gave a call around 11:00 to say we have no update, so was going to stay another night at the hotel.  But then they called back around 2:00 to say it's been restored!  Headed home past an army of PG&E trucks on highway 9 leading back up to Boulder Creek.  P.S. I know now that my home always smells like a campground due to the fire pit  :smt044
