When I first heard the news, my heart dropped because I couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's truly a MIRACLE. I am so happy to hear she is continuing to recover and making great progress.

Thanks Moo!  Not sure how to cook it yet.  I'll do my homework.  Prolly keep it simple to enjoy da flavah' flave.  Did you try it sushi kine way, or poke kine? :smt006

No raw. Fish fry both times and compared them to rockfish and lingcod. Everyone in my family thought it was better than rockfish and lingcod. I've been wanting to catch them for over a year now. I'll try raw next time I catch them.
Adam mentioned about ten feet up from the bottom is where they will find the hook of Moo.   :smt006

Thanks for the intel  :smt006

Nice Eddie. That's a FAT Ocean Whitefish. They are tasty. Way better than rockfish and lingcod for my taste buds.

Recipes / My favorite way to eat my mackerel: Braised Mackerel
« on: October 10, 2023, 09:55:55 AM »
I'm super picky with fish. I generally don't like fishy fish. That's probably why I enjoy eating halibut the most because they are so mild and non-fishy. However, I really enjoy eating mackerel even though they are fishy and braised mackerel is my favorite way to eat them.

Grats Eddie! T-bay seems tough this year but you got one after some struggles.

I wouldn't say T-bay is safer because of the strong currents at times.
I made this video after hearing a lot of kayakers getting rescued this year in the bay and it also applies to T-bay.
