I've never paddle the 11' but he's also selling one if you're concern about the weight. Most of us prefer 12' or more for the ocean. The bay will have that pelican spinning when the winds picks up.

All it took was telling the warden I was targeting halibut using multiple rods even though I was drifting over reefs by the sound buoy in SC.
They just check my license and left.
