Hey Al!

One of my closest friends lives aboard in the Berkeley Marina. Happy to put you in touch.

The friends I know who sail all started by joining clubs.  It used to be surprisingly affordable, not sure if it still is down there, but here in Port Angeles it’s $250 a year to join and have access to club boats, lessons, etc.   Like Tofino said, that’s the way to go.

I was quoted 2 years minimum wait for a slip, fyi…

You can smash the wire at the end with a hammer and drill an eyelet if you want to get fancy.

I used that wire found on cyclone fences.

My dad rides one daily and gets hassled by park Rangers for being on trails with a motorized vehicle.

He tells them it’s a “mobility device”. 🙄

For those of you who have not been, Clear Lake can be a MONSTER in windy conditions.

The only time I ever really thought I might die on the water was on Clear Lake.

Just wanted to keep this thread going, and hopefully remind us to check in with each other.  Part of taking care of ourselves is taking care of each other.

It’s super easy to justify and overlook red flags while masked and distanced.

Awesome report.

We can’t wait to get back home in Port Angeles.

The new rangers are pretty sweet.

Hi guys,

Just throwing this out there, sorry for the rambling, vague post…

Due to an unfortunate situation I have two dirt bikes and about three more in pieces, along with a bunch of parts, a couple trailer hitch bike racks, etc etc that I need gone ASAP.  Like this week.

We are just trying to recoup cleanup costs and will let the whole lot go for like $1000 obo.

I think we have pink slips.

There are two catches.  You’d have to take it all.  And it’s all located in a backyard deck, down a long flight of stairs!!

I’ll post pics in a bit but the complete bikes are a ktm and a honda, which were my brothers pride and joy which I know are worth quite a bit individually but I’m in a bind with no time to spare.

Let me know if you’re interested but please understand what I’ve written.
