General Talk / Re: Anyone got any leads for fishing down in Cabo?
« on: September 30, 2019, 04:16:07 PM »
You may be right. But speaking from my experience, it worked out well. Paying for one’s small commission as opposed to overhead of paying a storefront, employess...well, we are all adults and free to make our own decisions. Everything was legit, btw. Got the necessary licenses, boat was safe and when I go back (some time early next year), definitely hitting up the same guy. He set me up with an experience I’ll never forget. Good luck with whatever you choose.
Still gotta go to Tacos Guss though..😬

While down there, try eating at Tacos Guss. Best al pastor on the planet. Its walking distance from the harbor. Good luck on whatever boat you choose..

No need to pre-book a trip down there. I was just there last Labor Day weekend. There are literally a hundred boats down there. I just walked the harbor and was approached by a few guys. Bargain with them. I eventually booked with this guy (pic of his card below). I bargained with him. $300 for a nice 28’ boat with a head and shade! He represents quite a few private skippers for a good price.
No need to cover the overhead of an actual storefront..I was on the Maybe Tuna Boat. Caught 3 nice size mahi and some skipjack

For Sale / Thule 450 Crossroad, Square Bars *SOLD*
« on: September 29, 2019, 07:26:52 AM »
Hey folks, Thule 450 Crossroad complete with square bars and lock and keys for sale in used condition. $120 cash. Had them on a 2005 Yukon Denali but sold the truck about 6 months ago. These bars are pretty long as I had a Hullavator mounted on them. The current Thule kayak rack can be included in the deal for an additional $20. So $140 as pictured. Sorry for the bad pics. Just pulled those from my phone. I will take better pics tomorrow after I get off of work. PM me with any questions.

Either or. But has to be the Hobie frame. The Malone and other brands (adjustable) didn’t fit too well

Hey folks I have an Elite 5 HDI for sale or trade for Hobie scupper cart. This thing was only used about 3-4 times. I prefer simple and went with a basic Hook2 5” instead. Lol.
I’d like *SOLD*..which is more than fair. Or even trade for a Hobie scupper cart.
PM me if interested. I’ll post the actual photos when i get home.

Depends how hard you paddle!

There are expensive liners from companies like Kokatat but I just go with 32 Degrees top + bottom (Costco used to sell these) as my baselayer and add more layers, all synthetic fabrics, during the winter months.

+1. I do exactly that.

Made me chuckle.

It looks like the fish in the daughter's mouth is a photo-shopped copy of dad's fish. That's probably a good thing, since accidentally starting to swallow a fish with spiny fins could become a horrifying medical emergency. We don't have the esophageal fortitude of lingcod.

Haha. Thata funny

For Sale / Scotty Triple Rod Holder
« on: March 07, 2019, 11:09:37 AM »
Hey folks, found more stuff that I thought somebody can use.
It’s a Scotty Triple Rod Holder WITH post and also comes with two Scotty Rod holders.
I basically used it as an attachment to elevate my Scotty Holder. It kept me from kicking my rod when I was pedalling.
I think $40 is fair since you are getting 2 rod holders with it. Or trade for $50 worth of RF gear. You pick up in Daly City after 5 PM. Or you can come by my job in Palo Alto Mon-Fri 7AM-4PM
