I think I saw you out there, I was in the PA. Slower day for me as I too was worried about the fog. At times you could only see 20 yards. I trolled the shoreline perpendicular to the dam with no luck. When fog cleared I saw a bunch of people near the dam and went over to check it out. Got three scratched up Jumbos but nothing stuck! Did see some schooling fish but wasn’t sure what they were. They weren’t aggressive like stripers but we’re too big to be shad.

Calm relaxing day overall, I’ll be out there again

Inspection was fine... I keep it in the garage and didn't have any issues. I always bring a microfiber towel just in case!

How do you fish the jumbo minnows? I was using umbrella rig on the down rigger for a few of my fish but a "Bait and Wait" would be a nice break.

It was decent a lot of small ones... I think I’m going to pick up some Jumbo minnows and drift the dam area this weekend if anyone is interested.
i wanna try the opposite and troll an umbrella rig since i always fish jumbo minnows there.

how was inspection?

Hey!

Is anyone down to go check out San Luis Reservoir on Sunday December 2nd. There is a bit of a swell this weekend so I was thinking of hitting up freshwater.

Hope to see others out there!

Way to practice that self rescue. I have had the yak for over a year and still haven’t tried it.

I think you should investigate if your charger is fully charging your battery.

+1.
I also have a Helix 7 si and using a SLA 12v 9am battery.  I still have power left after fishing for 5-6 hours.  I just make sure i charge my battery full the night before.

Thanks for the suggestion I’ll buy a different charger for now. Luckily I had marked my location on my phone. Was able to find them pretty easily.

Hey guys,

Went out again with a 12v 12amp ExperPower. I dropped my pots with full confidence that I’d be able to fish all day and get back. Three hours later I get a Low Voltage warning and Fish Finder turns off.

Do you think the Fish Finder is defective?

Or

Stop being cheap and get a better battery!
