hand feeding them? Where did you hear that? I fished the exact same location with them the weekend prior and there were at least two sharks near us. No chumming necessary

Yup. Same exact spot, same crew...hell, maybe the same sharks. Dylan likes to target the big boys. Sometimes you pay the price. Sounds like it shouldn't have any lasting consequences. He's not gonna lose any toes..it could've been a lot worse
