I know what you mean. Coming from HI in DEC we actually took a picture with the heater because we liked it so much.

For Sale / 3 Batteries for Optio W10
« on: December 26, 2007, 08:37:00 PM »
I had a w10 go after two years and was wondering if anyone wanted them. I replaced with a W30 and batteries are different. PM your adress and I will send them.  One may have went bad in the saltwater when the camera went bad.

After reading all the reports on this site I had a few hours away from work this weekend to take a steelhead drift boat trip.  We went out on the clearwater river out of Orifino, ID with a great guide.  Even though it was cold we caught 5 and had two other bites. I now understand why people love these fish.  Now I just want to try it on a yak.  I really am starting to get used to the Hawaii heat.

Thanks for the input guys.  I went and looked at the Trevala today and I do like them.  I think I might end up with one of those.

Gearing Up and Rigging Up / Rod for Avet MXL 2 speed
« on: December 08, 2007, 11:16:43 AM »
I just got a MXL 2 speed cheap because it had a blemish, can anyone recommend a good rod for Mahi and possibly some alaska like bottom fishing.  I was thinking the MH trevala, but only because every one talks about them here, not because I  have used them.  I am hoping for the around a $100 solution.

Thanks in advance
