Happy thanks giving everyone!

Hit Rockaway beach with the family to hang out with some kayaking friends while I do some Crab snaring. Needless to say, it was an awesome time catching crab and making an old bay inspired crab dip.

Enjoy!

Hi Everyone,

Back at it again, as we move towards the winter where bigger game fish starts moving out and rockfish takes a rest we can always hit the beaches for some Perching on our local shorelines. This past week I was able to hang out with the kids at Popular beach before the storm hit the coast. It was pretty windy but we all had fun catching bait and cooking up a perch.

Enjoy!

Had an awesome time hanging out with some SoCal friends this past weekend. Dove from 10pm to 4 am with tons of bugs, fun and laughs.

I stayed at a surprise AirBB and put together some lobster fries for everyone to try.

Enjoy!

Kayak Diving and Spearfishing / Dive and Cook in Carmel (Video)
« on: September 30, 2019, 03:15:37 PM »
Thanks, everyone for the support and comments on the last video. I did a dive this past weekend with a fellow YouTuber Outdoor Chef Life and had a blast with 30' visibility. There's still a ton of Purple Urchins everywhere but we tired to our part to clean some up for dinner. As for the cook portion, my 3-year-old daughter had the opportunity to join in the fun.

Enjoy!
Jae

Kayak Diving and Spearfishing / Epic 13 Halibut dive
« on: September 02, 2019, 09:43:42 AM »
Came back from a trip down south and Managed to get out on a dive and saw a ton of keeper sized halibut everywhere. This was by far one of the most epic halibut dives I can image, my dive buddy and I decided to take a couple of fish each( Myself 2, him 1) and leave the rest for another day.

The viz was a patchy 5-7' but it was a fun day all around and I manage to put together a little diary of the day along with a coconut ceviche.

Enjoy!!!

I initially had a ruff start for the first 2 hours and couldn't get a bite to save my life, I marked salmon all up and down the water column with no takers. After that my fishfinder/GPS went out and had to used the good ole hand held emergency compass since visibility was around 50'.

Once I got situated, I removed flasher I was using and hooked up before I could finish cranking down my downrigger. I eventually limited on 2 nice Salmon in about 15 min at 8:30 on the south side of Pedro in 80' of water 30' OTW

Hopefully you all enjoy the footage as much as I enjoyed figuring out how to use a compass again. Thanks and see you all on the water!

General Fishing Tips / Lake Tahoe fishing
« on: August 16, 2019, 10:10:06 AM »

Going to be at South Lake Tahoe this upcoming week. Anyone know where’s a good launch area and what target species are good this time of year?

I started doing an info series for people to get a better understanding of whats going on in our Northern California waters. A lot of us above and below the water like to chase limits of fish because society tells us this is the bar that measures a successful trip. I myself have been guilty of that misconception and that isn't always the best route to take for a sustainable fishery. I'm teaming up with local film makers along with some of the industry bests to create a fun, exciting and informative freedive series for everyone to enjoy.

 Report: Viz was 40'+
 Location: Stillwater cove
Target species (1 fish): Cab, Monkeys, Lings

 Comments/improvements are appreciated.

Hit the end of the old ruins in 12-15' of water, trolling live smelt around. Nice fleet in the area with bite coming near the bottom of the tide at 9:30 am. Video attached enjoy!

Late post but somethings better than nothing

6/24- Nice bite outside with the "secret spot squad" in 85' of water and 65' OTW, Anchovies and Flasher.

6/25- Multiple take downs but couldn't stick them. Landed a Starry flounder and a 30" Salmon.

Started doing commentary in the videos to answer some questions of what i'm doing out there.

Enjoy!

Going to spend a day out at with a few friends around MBK. Last I heard there was a decent amount of mackerel out there? Has anyone been out there jigging any up?
