Hi all -

I see the word 'drysuit' used when most here are describing what they wear while out on the ocean.  Are these people wearing drysuits, or paddlesuits?  I have been looking on the Kokatat site and notice that they list both, yet there is a specific 'paddling suit' labeled as an angler suit:

Can you guys help describe the differences and chime in on which one you are using?  Obviously I like the price on the paddle suits, but wonder what the drawbacks are compared to the drysuits.

Does any one know if there are typically deals on kayaks around the holidays (e.g. black friday)?  As much as I hate that consumer holiday, it can make for great deals on big ticket items...

 

I am a 28 year old looking to get back into ocean fishing after years away from the trade.  I grew up bottom fishing and trolling for salmon out of Port San Luis Obispo with my grandpa.  Am considering a kayak after stumbling on these forums and looking at what you guys are doing, but mostly this site just seemed to have an active community with great fishing knowledge.
