oops, just saw this now.

launched basalt in dense fog on sat. stuck close to the shoreline trolling my new umbrella rig toward goosehead (didn't wanna get hit by a PB). found some fish near some points, but they didn't want the a-rig. by the time i pinned on a minnow, they were gone.  10:30am and now the dense fog lifted.  headed to deeper water to locate fish with no luck.  saw some PBs and yaks just ouside bay near dam, so I decided to work that area.  i gave up on a-rig, and slow trolled minnow mid column on DR, and another at the bottom.  saw lots of fish come up and check out my DR'd minnow, but no biters, then the minnow at the bottom gets hit, small keeper released.  there was window when the bite turned on at 1:30-2ish???  during this time, both rods were getting action.  got bit 5x times, landed 4, with 1 LDR.  gifted 1 and kept the 21" for a fish fry.  it was a slow day overall, but great to be out fishing again!

I think I saw you out there, I was in the PA. Slower day for me as I too was worried about the fog. At times you could only see 20 yards. I trolled the shoreline perpendicular to the dam with no luck. When fog cleared I saw a bunch of people near the dam and went over to check it out. Got three scratched up Jumbos but nothing stuck! Did see some schooling fish but wasn’t sure what they were. They weren’t aggressive like stripers but we’re too big to be shad.

Calm relaxing day overall, I’ll be out there again

@ Pandaman, I saw your prius by the shore and wondering how you able to get back to the road with that thick fog in the afternoon.  I am the one w/ yellow compass.
