Had a great time even though I, well you know, got sea sick.  First time for me involved in an event of this sort.

To redeem myself I went out yesterday for about 10 hours.  A Rock, Green Ling, and a Ling were taken and not sick once.

Thanks again Rubin for organizing such an awesome event.

Introductions / Greenhorn With Jenner as Port of Call
« on: September 01, 2014, 09:47:10 PM »
Although I've lived along the Russian River the last twenty years I just recently got into Kayaking.  Mostly river and lakes.  I started with the Costco special and just got hooked.  I bought a Wilderness 13.5 to eventually do some fishing from, but have only taken my kids out to the mouth of Jenner and a few other places.

I went out to Gerstle cove yesterday and had a great time learning to drift between kelp beds for rock fish.  Got a little guy,and figured I'm doing something right.  Looking forward to build on that experience.  Would like to get out for Salmon and Crab this year from Bodega.  Any tips?
