I found a used malibu 2 xl i might pick up tomorrow. Sellar stated needs new seats amd wants $600. Seems like units with good seats go for that much. Does $500 sound more appropriate?

Is it just the kayak? Or doesn’t come with paddles ?

Seats too are a major plus. 600 should be for the new models with the molded in carry handles.

We sell all of our used M2Xl's for $450. With no seats and they sell fast. Won't have anymore until October. But our are pretty well used and we sell them every 2 to 3 years of use

500 seems reasonable if it’s newer than 2013 and includes paddles. The best “inexpensive” seats are the $45 Vibe seats...so even those will set you back another $100 (and seats are pretty important on a Malibu 2 xl).

Thanks for the advice everyone! I found another Malibu 2 XL with good seats and paddles. So molded carry handles are 2013 and up? I know they sell for $950 brand new at a local shop. This other one I found is going for $750 and if its newer and lightly used.. is that a reasonable price or should I try to talk them down?

That’s an older model in the pic above. I sold my 2016 Malibu 2XL for $600 with seats, paddles, and rod holders about 6 months ago.

I sold a Malibu 2, not xl, with hobie seats and 2 heavy paddles for 350, should I get it back?  It’s 12ft long.

I’m not too familiar with the Malibu line but this bundle came up on my OfferUp saved search. Malibu 13 + emotion stealth and fish finder + other goodies for $800 in Sacramento area.

That is a different boat than is being discussed - it's a Malibu Kayaks brand, X13 model, the discussion is on an Ocean Kayak brand, Malibu XL model - a tandem. I know, it's confusing, don't know why they had to do that!
