General Fishing Tips / Re: Tips for Ocean Striper -- Advice?
« on: June 26, 2019, 12:43:44 PM »
all i got is.....
FIRST!......they have to be there,,,,,then you have to be on the other side (outside) of the surf line. Tough place to be at. In between the surfers and they're "hey, this is my/our surf" and the incoming swell. I did it twice at LM and it paid off, but only when our lures got into the crashing surf line. No bites outside whatsoever. Casting your lures close to a bunch of KOOKS will get you into arguments and bad vibes.

We tossed swimbaits at them and it worked, but it was alot of work, positioning ourselves after a set would roll through,,,,,and the looks we got could kill.

BEST TIME EVER!!!    :smt005

Adam needs get out more. I see him once every few years, but it is always a good time.

Paradise Park = Pier and launch ramp next to it = check web for details + Parking fee
Paradise Cay (north of above location)  =  park at end of jetty and launch in marina area (over rocky rip rap, but doable) and free.

Straight out from the pier. north and south running shelves drop 10  to 20  to 30'. Usually sheltered from winds.

39
or Paradise County Park   or Paradise Cay. It is on the marin side of the bay, if there is a NW, W or SW wind, it is somewhat protected. Good luck!
