I did the same thing Rock Hopper, with the same outcome. Guys at work asking "you ok man" It did bring back some good old memories seeing names we haven't seen in a while. We have sure lost a few Great people, and they are truly missed.

Hat Creek, is a spot that i take a lot of beginners. they plant it heavy so lots of fish, and if you venture out to some smaller streams, cow creek, bear creek ect. you can catch a lot of 6" - 12" native fish.

Wow that was one hell of a good breakdown !!! The King bite was crazy good about 10 years ago right off the ramp at the dam. back then you would see 20-30 boats and 2-3 of us kayakers. the boaters shocked when they saw our setup. we were all dropping anchovies. keep the post coming, hoping to get out soon but the heat kills me. see you on the water one of these days !!

Haven't driven by there in awhile. a few of us in Redding have talked about heading up there, if you go let us know how the fishing is. I have done well with bass and crappie from shore by the pit river dam.
