I understand the nearshore rockfish is 120 feet or less, but the nearshore rockfish caught need some explanation. For example, canary and vermillion is consider shelf rockfish, but they can be caught in less than 100 feet of water. Are those not allowed to be kept? Also, lingcod is in the put in along with the shelf rockfish. We all know lings can be caught in very shallow water, so no lings either? I'm looking at the San Francisco and Central North management areas. The summary tables are the same.

Look at the CDFW fishing regulations map. Find your species there and the text will detail what's open what's closed plus size and bag limits. WE are making you work for it.
