Any amateur Astronomers here? Either binocular or telescope?
I used to have an Obsession 20" DOB, I have my Classic 10" LX200 and an equatorial wedge that (For astrophotography) I haven't used for many years.  Unfortunately the telescope electronics are damaged, and smoke was let out of the handy terminal.  There is nothing wrong with the scope optics.  I understand there's a was a guy Los Angles that could repair the mother board (Then $275)but not sure today.  Would anyone be interested in receiving the scope as is? I have a number of lenses for it as well.
I'd like to sell the hard case, and the equatorial wedge I have for it.  I'm not out to make a whole lota money on these items, I would rather see them being used than taking up residence at my local recycle center(Dump) which is where most of the stuff will end up if no interest is shown.

Hard case $75 (Fits 10" SCT tube assembly) Clam shell
Equatorial Wedge $75 OBO
Observing seat (Seat slides up & down) $20
TPO Mounting Assistant for Meade LX 200 Telescopes $20
Can get pictures of everything....
Please PM any thought/interest.

For Sale / An old Arco solar panel array $75
« on: April 20, 2018, 08:05:19 PM »
 :smt006
Anyone interested in a 18V, aprox 63W (With age) Arco solar panel array?  The array consists of 3 6V 21watt panels, wired in series to supply 18 Open circuit voltage of 19.04VDC, measured in direct sun a few minutes ago, the array still produces juice!   The array measures about 4 feet square.  I purchased it in the mid 90's and had it installed in my small solar array charging 4 6V golf cart batteries.  The individual panels were part of a "Quad panel"(4 panel 85watt array)
Living in a redwood forest I never used this array, so its time to let it go. I Just added a photo of the panel.   No one has any interest is a photovoltaic panel? Make an offer.

General Talk / IP web cameras?
« on: February 07, 2018, 07:19:08 PM »
 :smt006
A few years ago I purchased a Astek MOLE IP camera, (Pan tilt, IR, Voice) and used my old email that was hacked so I no longer have access to that particular email.  I really like the features of this camera, but when I tried to activate it again with a different email username, I was not able to complete  Yoics (Not misspelled)online registration.  Called the Astek company support line number and was floored at the response I got from him, basically, ZERO phone support for the camera (That's Still being sold!) and was told they do all support through email. WTF?
My question, any one use this or similar IP camera and what program are you using to operate it?
My particular Astek MOLE IP uses Yoics . com  for internet connectivity but I cannot complete the Yoics registration.
The IP camera worked flawlessly when I set it up the first time after I got it, was able to look at it on my, PC and phone, that's why I'm a little dumbfounded that I cannot set it up again under different user.

Sadly our 2nd cat Shana has probably become somethings dinner, 2 night ago. About a year ago her sister Angle didn't come one night.  Shana never went far from our house, and never missed her meals!  Until 2 nights ago.  I walked my property but didn't find any evidence or remains.
Loosing our pet(s) this way, as sucky as it is, is much easier to handle than having them pass in our presence.
Yesterday, after wife found our next kitten online locally, I went and picked her up. We haven't named her yet, still waiting to see what ends up.
She's a little luv bug!  Hopefully our other cat ( Biskit, Just out of Kittenhood) won't take 6 months to warm up to her like Shana did to her. I don't think  it'll be that long as today they touched noses without any growling or puffed out tails.
We've had Coyote's, Mt. Loins, Bob cats, in my yard, haven't had the trail cam up for a few months as critter activity dwindled, my neighbor hood has had Fox's also, I recently learned (Or heard) they can climb trees. Can't say what may have got Shana, (Probably Coyote) but, we know the risk of letting them outside during the dark hours.

For Sale / 55 Gal rain barrels (Blue, Food grade)
« on: July 11, 2017, 10:06:50 AM »
 :smt006
A few years ago I wanted to expand my rain water harvesting capacity by 440 gallons (Currently have a 500 gal tank in place) and I got 7-8 55 gal food grade (Blue, they contained Kikkoman's soy sauce) barrels and set them up under my back deck, plumbed them together to collect rain water from front of house.
Can't use the barrels now as part of the area was used up when we had our  generator installed. The generators wiring and fuel supply runs right where I had the barrels in place.
I can get pictures of a few of the barrels, if any interest. (Don't have any at moment)
So, I have 7 or 8(?) 55 gal barrels, $20 each.   Each barrel still retains its original bungs in their tops, and each one has two 1.5" holes drilled for piping, located near the tops (Vents) and bottoms (Outlets) on the side.  Each barrel can easily be fitted again for use with garden faucets.
