Trout and salmon are excellent!

Any recommendations on a place to start for someone who has never targeted landlocked salmon?

The classifieds section on here will likely serve you better than Craigslist for finding a yak.

Introductions / Intro - looking to get out on salt - HMB
« on: June 20, 2021, 07:40:28 PM »
Hello!

Have been reading the forums for a few years and have finally joined. Started kayaking a few years ago, specifically to fish. All my kayak fishing has been fresh water, usually up in the mountains going for rainbows in Hwy 4 area, Plumas Eureka Area and Eagle Lake. Looking to make the transition to some salt water fishing and now live in the HMB area.

Goal for the year, get myself a salmon from my Seaghost 130. Ive got a PFD, whistle, flares, VHF radio, neoprene waders, one of those orange flags... Just not a partner or the experience on the ocean.

Hoping to find some like minded kayakers on here that like to aim for Thurs or Friday trips. I'm down for rockfish/salmon/freshwater/whatever else. I play well with others and hope to see some of you out there!

Sorry to hear about that. Will keep my eyes open off the San Mateo Co. Coast.
