Well, what a difference a day makes. I thought I'd give it another try this morn and yesterday left the kayak on top of the van and all the gear inside. Windy.com said 10 or 12 mph around Nick's Cove at 5 AM but I checked with BOON, Bodega Oceanic,Observation Node that has a small weather buoy had a mile offshore from the lad. It had 2.3 mph there which would be the same at Tomales entrance. Nice at the launch, maybe 5 mph SW. Two vehicles only in the lot and I thought, what gives with that. I pedaled across past Hog and begin to fish. No boats for some time then finally from Lawsons came a few PB's. Did not see any kayak fishers. I fished till 11 with one possible bite, ratty tat tat type so maybe a shortie. Who knows. NW was up by then and I called it a day. Saw one boat engaged with a bat ray and that was it. Since I thought it was going to blow I didn't bring the canine....might have been the no bite fish problem. No lucky dog with me.

Wow!  These are the puzzles of Tomales Bay.  I do appreciate the “fear of missing out”  report.  Hopefully Monday is doable on my end. :smt006

That is kind of puzzling, but after such a nice day on the water yesterday, with Tomales on the brain again, go out early to get the paper and it was super calm in Windsor, and immediately I thought it could be nice out at Tomales.  Better tides in the near future and if the wind stays down, next Friday is lookin' good, cheers and thanks for the reminder of checking multiple websites on the wind!
