This was the pump I used.  I just looked for the lowest current draw brushless pump.

Stealth / Livewell Upgrade
« on: August 21, 2023, 04:46:54 AM »
This is on the Stealth Facebook page but wanted to put it here where it is easier for peeps to find.  This worked really well, actually keeps livewell full up to the top of the drain hose with a gentle flow.  If you're really keeping a lot of fishy bait in there you may want to skip the power converter to have more flow.

Livewell upgrade for additional water depth.  Used a 12V brushless aquarium pump and a 12v to 6V converter to reduce current draw to 80mA.

OK, so I'm on the wrong coast, but kayak fishing is kayak fishing and this is the best board to share info.

Me:  Old.  I fish a lot, either fly fishing for Bass or Kayak fishing the intercoastal waterways for Trout and Reds. On rare occasion I'll hit the bigger water if it's flat.

Vessels:  I have a nice new Stealth Fish 525 and an old Hobie Revolution with a million miles on it that is still great for trolling.

Other hobies:  anything.  Photography, wood working, archery, hunting, cooking, baking, hiking, learning to fly fish, wishing I could play guitar....
