Here are some rules that I would like to see implicated for DOTY:

1. You must use a hawg trough. There is no "Excuse" that you cannot afford one. If you can afford to spear fish, you can afford a hawg Trough from Wallmart.

2. Remove the "no chumming" rule. There are enough rules as it is and there is no way to regulate this rule. IMO, anytime someone puts a rockfish on their shooting line or guts a fish in the water they are chumming.

We have all seen the Videos of guys swimming with a stringer of rock fish on their gun.

3. I like the idea that the winner of DOTY wins a kayak. It takes a huge amount of time, dedication and money (gas money) to win DOTY. That effort should be rewarded.

Can I see a carfax report on that kayak  :smt003 :smt005

LOL Garett. I really don't want to get rid of it, or seem ungrateful. Lots of memories! Just putting out feelers to pass it on and help someone out if they need a beginner kayak, [and my lady said I had to a least make a posting to fund the tandem I picked up yesterday :) ].

That's a solid kayak that you're selling and a good price.
What tandem did u get?

You're def going to need a kayak with a higher weight capacity for lead salvaging.
Something like this:

alright so what about a  mako predator 2nd generation railgun
with these options (they ask me to select )

60 cm
single 20mm band
mini shark fin shaft
blue butt pad

http://www.makospearguns.com/Predator-Pro-2nd-Generation-Railgun-p/mpp2gr.htm

That is a great gun.
I would go with a 70 or 80cm but a 60 will work fine.

Also, get a float line. 35 or 50 foot is a good starting length.

A real is a little more advanced...with a float line it's really hard to lose your gun and you can mark holes.
