Wanted To Buy / 12 foot kayak
« on: May 28, 2017, 07:36:13 AM »
Hey all looking for a lightweight fast 12 foot or so kayak for my girlfriend. Tarpon 120 would be ideal or ocean kayak. Open to a hobie she's got a degenerative disk disease in her back so a peddle drive would be most easy on her back. Not looking to break the bank as she's just getting into kayak fishing. If anyone has an old yak or knows a good deal please let me know I'll drive almost anywhere lol. I live in Santa Cruz county

Oh man what a blast thanks everyone for getting me there. Eric you are the man. I got my bag by the way lol. Special thanks to big Jim and Jason str8fishing for motivating and sponsoring me to go. I can't wait for the next event. I got sick tournament morning had to go back. Little to much booze at shuland night before but Sunday managed a healthy stringer of lings blacks and reds thanks to Wil, john, tyfish, Dylan, brooks, and Lauren, you're hospitality was amazing five star. Everyone at the cove was amazing. I loved every minute of it.

With lowrance create a route as mentioned move cursor to dfg coordinates hit enter and move to next coordinates. Follow the lowrance manual for creating routes.

Super helpful to have that on my gps I fish there often.

General Fishing Tips / Re: Rod/reel recommendations
« on: April 22, 2017, 10:38:53 AM »
Haha Those first comments made me die of laughter.

All jokes aside. best bet would be a 20-60 lb line rod and something that can hold lots of 65 lb braided line for them YT. I really like Avet reels. Definitely popular with socal fisherman

Or it's two different setups one like I mentioned and a second inshore rod 15-25 lb class with smaller reel. That's my go to for lings etc
I use a bigger rod for halibut and Seabass
