Does anyone know if live minnows are allowed in Coyote Lake? Plan on fishing there this weekend 6-20  and want to be prepared. Thanks in advance. Andy, will post in hookups for anyone interested in joining in A couple of days.

Well after playing phone tag with so many people that didn't have the slightest clue I was able to get A hold of A buddy of mine that works for fish and game he was able to tell me what I didn't want to hear. Nothing to be transported in but if you catch minnows there you can use them. I guess its time for me to invest in A dip net. I'm going to try this Sat. Andy

Hmmm, really? I have gone to Coyote Bait+Tackle specifically to buy minnows and told them I was going to Coyote and they gave me advise (as opposed to saying that minnows are illegal). I've got a minnow trap you can borrow Andy.

Never took them to Coyote, but did many a time to Anderson.  Yeah, I would call CB&T and ask them, I am sure they know.  I don't know of any lake in the South Bay that checks, or regulates, minnows.

Have fun out there Andy!  If you see a beige hobie on a black car pass you on 101, honk :)

The banning of the minnows is just now after they started the quagga mussel inspections. Minnows are banned from all the santa clara county waterways, unless you can catch them on the spot.

Fish Marter1

You don't really need the minnows. They just get in your way for catching the fish.  :smt002
